My hand-painted quotation boxes and functional creations are designed with that in mind. Open your box when you need a dose of inspiration or encouragement. Fill it with personal mementos. Every piece is individually hand-painted. My eclectic work is inspired and influenced by Asian culture and Eastern philosophies, primitive art and pop culture. There is always a slight variation; either through color or figure placement, giving each box its genuine one-of-a-kind quality. Only acrylic and other non-toxic materials are used.

About the Artist …
Marilyn Grad was born in Cincinnati and resides in Chicago. A self-taught artist, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Communication Arts-Television and Film Production. She successfully survived her mid-life crisis and professional upheavals, giving her the courage and wisdom to express her eclectic individuality to the fullest. Enjoy!
